The 41-year-old Manteca man who was struck by a truck on Yosemite Avenue at Airport Way Thursday evening received moderate injuries and was transported to San Joaquin County Hospital, according to Manteca Police Sgt. Rob Armosino.

The truck was reportedly entering Yosemite Avenue eastbound from a private driveway in the 1900 block of Yosemite Avenue just east of Airport Way when the man riding his bicycle attempted to go around the front of the truck, police said.

The injured bicyclist and his bicycle were found underneath the tractor of the vehicle police said, adding that he was not actually run over by the wheels of the vehicle.
