Bilingual writing at Manteca Library

Poet and writer Tim Hernandez will present a free non-fiction, memoir-writing workshop on Wednesday, May 2, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Manteca Library.

Hernandez is a San Joaquin Valley native. His writing has appeared in various anthologies, and his dramatic performances have been featured at the Getty Center Museum in Los Angeles and Stanford University. He was a finalist for the California Book Award for his novel “Breathing, In Dust” and has been featured on NPR’s All Things Considered.

•  DAY OF THE CHILD ON CINCO DE MAYO: The Manteca Branch Library will host Dia De Los Ninos/Cinco De Mayo   on Saturday, May 5 , from noon to 2 p.m.
