A 14-year-old boy riding his bicycle was struck by a car in the 1900 block of Sparrow Hawk Way just south of Atherton Drive at 4 p.m. Thursday in the neighborhood southeast of the Airport Way and 120 Bypass interchange
Police said the youth had received scrapes and abrasions and was transported to Kaiser Hospital’s Emergency Room by Manteca Ambulance.
Neighbors complained of cars continually speeding through their neighborhood. Atherton Drive has numerous donut like skid marks burned into the asphalt just north of the subdivision where the youth was struck.
