This past week the Boys and Girls Clubs of Manteca and Lathrop held an art contest with the help of Staples store and a Glen Pew, a local artist and woodworker.

Mr. Pew donated a collection of wooden animals for the children to paint and decorate.Staples helped with gift cards as prizes. Also the judge for the contest was Sandy Blue, a Staples employee.

In Lathrop the first prize winner was Genna Arizmendi. Second place winner was Shyanne Ferguson. Hasmin Martinez, Marvin Hernandez and Kevin Gutierrez. All the winners were awarded Staples gift cards to help with school supplies and art supplies.

In Manteca, the first place winner was Valiceia Horne and Lindsey Boutte won second place. Third place winners were Brejaney McGhee, Phillip Bledsoe and Kaloni Webster.
