The second $100 Manteca Bulletin Easter Egg was found between the building that once housed Kelley Brothers Brewing Co. and Bank of America in downtown Manteca.

Three more $100 eggs will be hidden in the coming weeks. The clues appear in the Easter Egg ad that runs on Saturday’s in the Bulletin.

The egg was hidden in the bushes near the old home of Kelley Brothers Brewing Company that originally was the El Rey Theatre.

“We got the newspaper and found it right off the bat,” Margie Rasor said. “We read about hops and off we went, hopping.”

The clues were:

• Near the home site of a pioneer who led rabbit hunts. A reference to Joshua Cowell — the father of Manteca — whose home stood where Bank of America now stands.

• Just around the corner you got hair cuts in the 1950s. There was a barber shop for years in the front of the El Rey.

• They used to be plenty of hops here. Reference to the hops Kelley Brothers used to make beer.
