MODESTO – The C-SPAN digital bus will be at Modesto Junior College on Thursday, March 29, from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The million-dollar 45-foot digital bus will be parked on South Drive in front of the Auditorium on East Campus, located at 435 College Ave. in Modesto.

Partnering with cable affiliates in communities across America, C-SPAN’s customized Prevost coach will engage visitors of all ages through interactive multimedia. The interactive mobile bus is equipped with the latest technology and equipment including touch-screen televisions, laptops, tablets and a SMARTboard. Visitors will experience C-SPAN’s unique public affairs content across high-tech platforms such as HD-TV, the Internet, and radio, encouraging people to follow “Washington, your way.” Hands-on demonstrations will feature the C-SPAN Video Library and the network’s social media offerings.

C-SPAN employees take the bus across the country, visiting schools, community events, conferences and political gatherings to connect visitors with public affairs and government while providing a greater understanding of C-SPAN and their free resources.

Campus parking passes are $1 and can be obtained at various ticket dispensers located in the student parking lots.
