A candlelight vigil will be held for Tevanie Deanne Lantz on Sunday, Aug. 16, at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 715 E. North Street between Sheridan and Roosevelt avenues.
The memorial will begin with a brief itinerary. To follow will be music, the first candle being lit, a minute of silence, and then everyone will light their candles.
The vigil is for family and friends to remember “our beloved Tevanie, share our memories, say farewell to Tevanie, and hopefully send a message to all surrounding communities, as well as this one, that no one should have to put up with any type of abuse. The family will announce this as the anniversary date for “Tevanie’s Day” in our family.”
Lantz was murdered in the front yard of her central Manteca home earlier this year.
