Jewell Mullings and Louie Wyrsch are planning their wedding next month on the weekend of Oct. 10 at the River Mill in French Camp.

As a gift to his fiancée, Louie bought a 1971 Camaro two years ago and began restoring it with it only recently becoming a finished “jewel” in another of his long list of restored cars.

“Because he is Louie and my real name is Jewell, we decided to name the car “Louie’s Jewell” and it’s kinda the theme of the wedding,” Jewell said.

She is the daughter of Larry and Linda Grissom of Lathrop and Candida Grissom of Escalon.  Grandparents are Alice Donais of Vacaville and Eugene Vierra of Manteca.

Louie is the son of the late Louis and Margaret Wyrsch.  Now retired, he works part time for Knife River Corporation as a sales consultant.

The couple is planning a Hawaiian cruise for their honeymoon.
