Carl’s Junior fast food restaurant on Hulsey Way was robbed at gunpoint shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday when a lone gunman entered through a rear door opened for a bread delivery, according to Manteca Police.
The restaurant, adjacent to Highway 99 and south of East Yosemite Avenue, was closed except for the drive-thru with employees still working to serve late night customers in their vehicles. Police said the robber demanded money from the employees and from the registers.
The suspect was reportedly in his early 20s and was described as a skinny white male standing about 5-foot-10 who fled in an older white van. The amount of cash taken in the robbery was unavailable.
