The Boys & Girls Club of Manteca-Lathrop is hosting a Children’s Art Show and Reception on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 6 p.m. at the clubhouse at 545 W. Alameda St.
It is part of Boys and Girls Clubs of America’s National Fine Art Exhibit that is striving to promote young people’s creativity while encouraging artic skills and culture enforcement.
Those attending will be asked to vote for their favorite art piece among the numerous creations by club members.
The annual membership of $24 for youth 6 to 18 years old provides access to all club programs ranging from sports and karate, the games room, teen room and homework assistance to art. There are more than 1,700 active members.
The Manteca club is open Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 8 p.m.
