Christmas Eve meals in Manteca

Two Christmas Eve meals and gift giveaways for children are being planned for struggling families in Manteca on Saturday.

Manteca Ford

Manteca Ford on North Main Street will host its annual free Christmas Eve Breakfast on Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m.

The first 500 children 12 and under will receive an unwrapped toy and have an opportunity to meet Santa. Nulaid Eggs in Ripon has donated all the eggs, Starbucks, Foster Farms, Save Mart, McDonalds, Costco, Chez Shari, Party Warehouse in Tracy, Walgreens and Economy Signs have all agreed to contribute as well. The dealership is accepting unwrapped toys for children 12 and under.

Place of Refuge

The Place of Refuge wants to once again play Santa for needy kids and make sure struggling families have a dinner this Christmas. The congregation is staging a complete Christmas Eve dinner complete with gifts for kids on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Place of Refuge, 486 Button Ave. If you can help, drop a toy at the church office or call 239-1371.
