The Manteca Golf Course driving range is getting new netting.

The City Council Tuesday authorized spending $32,100 to install 500 linear feet of protective netting on 20-foot poles along Crom Street.  It will also include a three-foot high cyclone fence along the base to prolong the life of the netting.

Judge Netting of Costa Mesa was the low bidder. The cost is being covered by green fees paid by golfers.
