RIPON — Ripon cops and firefighters are teaming up against a Ripon High School alumni squad for a benefit basketball game Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in the Ripon High gymnasium.

This is the sixth year for the annual event that has raised some $9,000 to date for graduating Ripon seniors.  The RHS alumni are being included in the game this year in celebration of Ripon High School’s 100th anniversary.

The 2010 Sober Graduation event along with the Bob Winget Public Safety Scholarship Fund will both benefit from the proceeds of the game.  Prizes donated by local businesses are going to be raffled during the half time ceremonies.

The doors open at 6 p.m. for the 6:30 game with adult admission set at $5 and $2 for children under 12.
