A story on Page A1 of Thursday’s Manteca Bulletin regarding the landscape maintenance district fees for the park at Union Ranch East incorrectly stated the annual assessment for this year was $496.31, and the maximum allowable assessment is $748.14. Those were the original figures that were calculated earlier last year. However, when the final action came back to Council on July 19, 2011, those had been reduced to an initial assessment of $358.78, with a maximum allowable assessment of $583.58. The $358.78 was assessed for 2011-12. The reductions were a result of a reduction in the budget for the future replacement of the irrigation well, as well as a reduction in the Operating Reserve Fund Contribution from 50% of direct maintenance costs to 25%.
