Crab feed Feb. 11 benefits ALS research

Tickets to the second annual crab feed benefiting the Forbes Norris ALS Research Center in San Francisco are available at DeVinci’s Deli in Manteca, 1471 W. Yosemite Ave. in the Save Mart shopping center. (Ask for restaurant manager Stephanie Saldana.)

The event will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center, 33 W. Alpine in Stockton. Tickets are $40 per person. No-host cocktails will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and dancing.

The Forbes Norris MDA/ALS Research and Treatment Center, named after the “internationally renowned physician in the field of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) research and clinical care, is the largest ALS clinical research center in the United States,.

One of the late physician’s patients was Ted Anderson III of Manteca, the late father of Manteca entertainer and Elvis impersonator Jim Anderson of Jim Anderson & the Rebels.
