Auto burglars apprehended in Ripon

RIPON –  Ripon Police officers arrested three auto burglary suspects on Wednesday.

Police at 1 a.m. that morning responded to a report of a vehicle theft in progress in the 400 block of Meyenburg Avenue.

The suspects reportedly fled the area in a white Honda Accord.

Sgt. Don Luthey and officer Trevor McGinnis located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop for a mechanical violation.

Two of the suspects were found to be on active parole.  A search of the vehicle was conducted.  Burglary tools, and  property that was identified as being stolen from a vehicle burglary in Salida earlier that night were located.

 The victim was able to positively identify the suspect vehicle, as being the same vehicle that fled the scene.

The suspects, Misty Nichole Jones, 23, of Delhi; Eddie Jose Padilla, 36, of Livingston; and Greg Mark Craytor, 27, of Turlock were booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on felony charges of attempted burglary, conspiracy, and possession of stolen property.
