A month-long investigation by the Manteca Police Street Crimes Unit netted two arrests Friday morning in the 300 block of West Alameda Street.

John Rhodes, 28, and Lena Garwood, 36, were taken from the home at about 10:30 in the morning after officers initiated a search warrant at the house located just a block away from the Manteca-Lathrop Boys and Girls Club.

Police public information officer Jason Hensley said they were both charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana for sale.  Police reportedly found one ounce of meth and nearly three ounces of marijuana along with an undisclosed amount of cash and drug paraphernalia in the home.

Rhodes was also charged with possession of brass knuckles, Hensley said.
