The South San Joaquin Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information on culprits in a series of burglaries that have occurred recently in Ripon that involved a small neighborhood grocery that lost several thousands in cash.

A barred security gate had been ripped off of the front of the market by a pickup truck in the 200 block of West Washington Street that gave burglars access to the store on Tuesday.  On Wednesday morning also in the predawn hours a Mexican meat market in Ripon was burglarized.

Police suspect that the thieves have also struck in neighboring communities including Manteca, Tracy and Mountain View.  Other Ripon burglaries have had the same method of operation as in Manteca where individuals have cut through the side walls and roofs of buildings to gain entry in the early morning hours.

Manteca auto repair shops and tire stores had costly losses in the third week of August.  Burglars left little evidence to their identities in their wake.

To provide the Crime Stoppers with anonymous information on any of the burglaries call 823-4636.
