Deputies: Man walking in, out of traffic arrested for cocaine

On the surface it seems strange – and dangerous – enough.

A man walking in and out of traffic at an intersection where cars routinely fly through the light at speeds far in excess of the posted limit.

So when San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the corner of Airport Way and Louise Avenue last Thursday, they discovered 26-year-old Joseph Mark Quinley who just happened to have with him a pocket full of cocaine.

When deputies weighed the bag they discovered that he had more than 34 grams in his possession – with a street value in excess of $1,000 – and he was subsequently arrested for possession and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.
