Numerous rounds were fired into a home near the intersection of Tannehill Drive and Lincasa Place across from Woodward School at 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

Manteca Police said one shot hit a car and another went through the front door of a residence in the 2000 block of Lincassa Place, continuing through the house and traveling out a rear window, through a back fence and into an orchard.

The other rounds hit the framework of the home.  Police received a number of calls from neighborhood residents saying they heard gun fire near their home.

Police are looking for a suspect whom witnesses described as a Hispanic male passenger who was seen riding in the vehicle as it sped away from the scene.  Officers said they recovered bullet fragments from the scene.  No one was injured in the shooting.  Patrol officers and gang detectives are investigating the case.
