Drive-by shooting in Raymus Village

The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department is searching for any information the public may have about a drive-by shooting late Wednesday in Raymus Village. 

According to a press release, deputies responded to a call of gunshots on the 14000 block of S. Paiute Way just before 11 p.m. Wednesday. When they arrived they discovered that the residence and two vehicles had been struck, and glass shards from a broken window had caused minor injuries to the homeowner who was inside at the time. 

No other injuries were reported, and no suspect information was provided other than a reddish compact car driving away from the scene before deputies arrived. 

Neighbors told the Bulletin over 10 rounds were fired and that people were seen fleeing into the neighborhood’s park.
