A former Hell’s Angels member is being targeted as a person of interest by the Sheriff’s Department in the August shooting of two motorcycle riders on Ideal Parkway just off Highway 120 east of Manteca.

A former Oakdale resident, Brandon James Gann, 30, was reportedly an associate member of the Hell’s Angels Nomads’ club at the time of the shooting that was said to have been in retaliation against another club.

Lathrop resident Danny Martinez, 26, and a 30-year-old friend were beaten and shot in gunfire that erupted around 6:30 p.m. August 15 by unknown gunmen in a light industrial complex where the two had gone to get a part for one of their motorcycles.

Martinez, formerly of Manteca, died of his wounds.

Witnesses had told deputies that both victims had been outside a business standing by their motorcycles when a white compact SUV that was reportedly occupied by two Caucasian males sped into the parking lot toward them ramming their motorcycles.

The deputies had further quoted witnesses at the time who said both men got out of their SUV and began beating the two men.  One of the suspects reportedly went back to his vehicle and grabbed a hand gun and began shooting at the pair.  They rushed back to their SUV and fled the area at a high rate of speed.

The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information on the killing or of the whereabouts of Brandon Gann to call the Sheriff’s office at (209) 468-4400 or make use of the anonymous tip line at 274637.  In the message area type SJSO, leave a space and then type in your tip.
