Loaded Glock pistol found under front seat in a traffic stop

Manteca Police officer Aaron Montoya discovered a loaded 9 mm Glock pistol under the front seat of a car in a traffic stop shortly before 11 p.m. Monday.

Montoya made the stop in the 100 block of East Alameda Street after observing what he described as a suspicious vehicle speeding.  There were two occupants in the car and the driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license.

The passenger Raymond Rios, 21, of Manteca was charged with possession of the stolen firearm and for being in possession of stolen property and a jar of marijuana.

Driver Manuel Borba, 23, was charged with driving on a suspended license and being in possession of marijuana.
