Jason Puetz, 30, of Manteca, pled guilty to drug charges Monday morning before Judge Ron Northup in the Manteca Branch of the San Joaquin County Superior Court – sending him to state prison for four years.

Puetz was arrested for allegedly possessing drugs and drugs for sale while on probation from another drug sales conviction, police said.  He remained in custody at the San Joaquin County Jail and had to be transported to the Manteca court to make his guilty plea to the new charges.

Manteca Police patrolman Armen Avakian arrested Puetz again on March 30 during a probation search on his home in the 1400 block of Kelly Drive.  Avakian said he discovered nearly an ounce of methamphetamine on his person.

Puetz had been on probation following a conviction for one count of possession of a controlled substance, for one count of paraphernalia for a controlled substance and two counts of possession of stolen property, police said.
