A 31-year-old man was arrested late Friday morning for assault with a deadly weapon and the robbery of an individual outside a North Main Street convenience store shortly before 11 a.m. on Thursday.

When officers arrived on the scene at the Quick Stop in the 500 block of North Main Street, Antonio Beltran had reportedly fled the scene but the assault was caught on the store’s video camera.

The Manteca Police Street Crimes Unit was on a proactive patrol Friday morning when they recognized Beltran in the 100 block of East Alameda Street across from the convenience store.

Beltran was transported to the San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
