Manteca Police traffic officers pulled a car over last Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Sapphire Way for missing license plates, only to find a sizeable amount of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Motorcycle officers David Bright and John Machado arrested Raul Longoria and Robert Viveros – both in their mid-30s – on numerous charges including possession of five counterfeit $100 bills, police said.

Police said they found 36.5 grams of methamphetamine, 1.5 grams of marijuana, .9 grams of heroin, drug packaging in the form of zipper sandwich bags, and a plastic Biore box along with a digital gram scale having drug residue on the surface and weigh table, and a crank pipe.

Viveros was charged with possession of the counterfeit bills, while both men were charged with the following:  possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale, transportation of a controlled substance, possession of a narcotic substance, possession of a narcotic substance for sale, transportation of a narcotic substance, possession of one ounce of marijuana and conspiracy.

Both were booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp, however neither man is reported to be in custody this week.
