Four juvenile occupants of a residence in the Southland Mobile Home Park,  adjacent to Highway 99,  were uninjured Thursday evening at about 6:30 p.m. when their trailer was struck by multiple gunshots, police said.

An investigation is continuing to determine whether or not the shooting was gang related.  Bullets reportedly went into the hallway, kitchen and bedroom of the mobile home.

Manteca Police Officer Dan Chestnut and Community Service Officer Barbara Hall found 9 mm shell casings from the assault in the roadway.  Police talked to several witnesses living in the park but did not release information about what had had been seen or heard during the shooting.

The public is urged to call Crime Stoppers with any information they may have regarding the responsible shooter at 823-4636.
