LATHROP — The Arco gas station in the 400 block of Mossdale Road in Lathrop was robbed of an undetermined amount of cash and six packs of Marlboro cigarettes from the counter Thursday night shortly after 8 p.m.
Sheriff’s deputies quoted the store clerk as saying the robbers were two white males with one wearing a dark colored ski mask and armed with a double edged hunting knife.
He told deputies that the men demanded he open the cash register before they took the station’s cash.
Deputies said the two fled the building in a two door sedan, however he was unable to recognize the make or the license number. The car was last seen heading northbound on Interstate 5.
