A 29-year-old Manteca man was shot in the stomach at 3 a.m. Sunday at the conclusion of a party in a home in the 1000 block of Pepperwood Drive.  

Manteca Police Sgt. Wayne Miller said the victim was transported to a hospital by ambulance and noted that the wound was non-life threatening.  Merlin Jones, 27, was arrested by Redwood City Police later Sunday afternoon.

Pepperwood Drive is east of Union Road and north of Louise Avenue in north Manteca.
