Ripon Police discover 3 pounds of pot

RIPON — Juan Meza, 23, of Modesto was booked into San Joaquin County Jail Friday on a possession of marijuana for sale charge by Ripon officers after they discovered three pounds of the drug while serving two search warrants in the 200 block of South Walnut Avenue.

Meza was also arrested for probation violation and two felony burglary warrants, one out of Modesto Police Department and the other from the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.  Bail was set at $111,000 with a court date set for Jan. 23 in the Manteca Branch of the San Joaquin County Superior Court.

Adriana Alba, 24, of Ripon was jailed on a possession of marijuana for sale charge and transported to the county jail by officers as well. 

A third suspect was cited for possession of marijuana and released, police said.   Child Protective Services agency was contacted to assist with the investigation after police found a young juvenile living at the residence where the marijuana was accessible and was being used.
