A strong arm robbery early Saturday morning over two 30 packs of beer sent a clerk at the Arco service station convenience store to a Manteca hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Manteca Police said two male Hispanics described as being in their early 20s entered the store at 1711 East Yosemite Avenue and attempted to take the beer shortly after midnight and a scuffle erupted with the clerk.

Officers said the clerk was treated and released from the hospital Saturday morning.

Witnesses said the two men fled in a burgundy ‘90s Chevy Impala.  One was described as being about 5-foot-10 with short hair and a mustache and the second as having corn rows in his hair.

Manteca Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the two men.
