San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office investigators have determined that the death of two men found in a trailer Tuesday morning on North Airport Way was a murder-suicide. Detectives said they discovered several pieces of evidence that led to that conclusion.

Initially, it was reported that a gun was involved due to a bullet casing discovered near the victims. However, detectives have determined that a gun was not involved, but a Capitive Bolt Pistol that utilizes a cartridge similar to a bullet was used resulting in the death of the two men.

The identities of both men are pending the notification of the victims’ next of kin. The relationship between the victims is unknown at this time. The investigation is continuing.
