Four individuals were arrested Monday afternoon by Manteca Police officers when a stolen cell phone with an active GPS tripped them up by broadcasting its location near a golf course in the 11000 block of the Highway 99 Frontage Road just north of French Camp Road.

Officers drove to the acre site that included a main house and three or four trailers parked on the north side of the property where several garages had been converted into rooms. A motor home was located behind the garage, police said.

State Parole agents advised that there were parolees-at-large that lived in the area as well as an individual that was currently considered searchable.

Manteca Police Department sent several units to the scene with the assistance of State Parole. When the units arrived two individuals reportedly attempted to flee into the field behind the residence where they were detained by officers.

Gina Mersaroli, 37, was charged with being a felon in possession of a shotgun, ammunition and a misdemeanor warrant.

Daryl Yary, 54, was charged with an outstanding no-bail misdemeanor traffic warrant.

Wesley Hamilton, 35, was charged with check fraud, making fictitious checks, possession of blank checks and possession of a stolen access card.

Stephen Marschand, 45, was charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Officer John Machado said he found several check books with a W-2 form for another Manteca victim of the fraudulent activities. The officer noted that the victim said he has had non-stop attempts by someone to open various accounts in his name. A form from Ally Bank used to order boxes of check books from the victim’s account was also recovered as was a stolen Capitol One credit card officers said was found in suspect Hamilton’s pocket.
