On April 25, 2010, two Hispanic males got into an altercation with two to three other Hispanic males in front of 14368 Avon Ave. in Lathrop.
During that altercation, two persons were hit by a vehicle. The only description provided was that it was a large four-door reddish/maroon colored vehicle. There was nothing distinguishable about the car. We have exhausted all leads and by going through South County Crime Stoppers the hope is that maybe this information gets to local body shops and someone would recognize or remember a vehicle brought in that may have blood, hair or just suspicious a damage consistent with having struck a large object. Lathrop Police Services did recover small pieces of vehicle body parts.
As a result of this incident there was a victim shot in the face, neck and arm with a 12 gauge shotgun. The shooter is in custody, but police are still looking for the vehicle and driver/occupants of the one that ran over the other two persons.
