TRACY – Bail was raised to $1 million on Wednesday for a 39-year-old Tracy substitute teacher accused of molesting his students.

Five counts of child molestation were also added to the eight that were already charged against suspect Jesse Llorente III during his arraignment at the Manteca Branch Superior Court. His arraignment was scheduled for continuation on April 8 in Manteca.

LLorente was arrested on a total of 13 counts of lewd acts on a child under the age of 14, and one count of possession of child pornography. The charges allegedly involve a total of 13 kids, all under the age of 14. The alleged crimes reportedly occurred during the course of two days while the suspect was substitute-teaching at George Kelly Elementary School in the 500 block of Mabel Josephine Drive in Tracy.

The child pornography charge stemmed from a police search of the suspect’s home in the 100 Block of Ramona Way in Tracy on a search warrant for digital evidence.

The alleged molestations reportedly occurred during a period of two days in late February 2009 while Llorente was substitute-teaching at the school.
Bail for Llorente, who is being held at San Joaquin County Jail, was originally set at $750 based on the original eight counts.
