Two Manteca men arrested on felony charges

Manteca Police officers transported two suspects for a variety of felony charges shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday.

Officer Elliott Eichel arrested John J. Spruitenberg, 25, for suspicion of two felonies -  robbery and burglary.  His bail was set at $53,000 at the San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.  Spruitenberg is scheduled to appear in the Manteca Branch of the San Joaquin County Superior Court at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday to answer the charges.

Manteca patrolman Alan Eichel arrested Chris Jermanon, 29, for allegedly committing four felonies including the illegal possession of an explosive, throwing a substance at a vehicle with the intent of great bodily harm, and possession of a narcotic controlled substance.

Jermanon was also charged with exhibiting a firearm.  His bail at the San Joaquin County Jail was set at $319,000 with a court date of Wednesday in the Manteca Branch of the San Joaquin County Superior Court
