Divorce Care ministries underway Tuesday

Two 13-week ministries aimed at helping people struggling with families breaking up – Divorce Care and Divorce Care for Kids – start this Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Crossroads Grace Community Church, 5505 Moffat Blvd.

Divorce Care is designed for separated or divorced adults. The weekly topics are what’s happening to me, the road to healing/finding help, facing my anger, facing my depression, facing my loneliness, what does the owner’s manual say, new relationships, financial survival, kid care, single sexuality, forgiveness, reconciliation, and moving on while growing closer to God.

Divorce Care for Kids includes games, story time, workbook, DVD dramas, group discussion, music, crafts, and snacks.

The session topics include what’s happening to my family, God lives children in all kinds of families, facing my anger, journey from anger to sadness, I am not alone, God’s plan for me, developing new relationships, developing money smarts, it’s not my fault, telling my parents how I feel, forgiveness, loving my parents, moving on while growing up and closer to God.
