Doctors Hospital graduates five from nursing program

Doctors Hospital of Manteca celebrated the graduation of five new registered nurses from the Versant internship program..

The group of nurses began their internships in mid-August of last summer.

Jasmine Bowman served as a Multi-Specialty Unit intern on the night shift.  She is a grad of San Joaquin Delta College and currently lives in Tracy.  Her work experience includes being a lab tutor at Delta, a guest services team member for Target, and a bank teller at Wells Fargo Bank.

Alicia Hughes served as an RN resident in Med Surgery South on the day shift.  She graduated from Samuel Merritt University in San Francisco and currently resides in The City.  Her work experience included being a floor volunteer at Children’s Hospital in Oakland and volunteering as a nursing office assistant at Laguna Honda Hospital.

Sabra Rasberry was also an RN resident but in Med Surg ery South on the night shift.  She is a graduate of San Joaquin Delta College and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific. 

Rasberry currently lives in Tracy.  Her work experience includes being an LVN at Bethany Home in Ripon, operations manager at Tax Boss and logistics manager at Old Navy.

Lauren Severiano served her internship as an RN resident in Med Surgery South on the day shift.  She graduated from Merritt College and received her Bachelor of Arts as a psychology major with a minor in business administration.

She relocated to Manteca from the City of Lafayette.

Severiano’s work experience included being unit coordinator for the California Pacific Medical Center, Davies Emergency Department and executive assistant/account coordinator, M.  Silver Associates in New York, as well as marketing coordinator and PR assistant at Sierra-at-Tahoe Ski Resort.

Aimee Winburn was an RN resident the Multi-Specialty Unit on the day shift at Doctors.  She is a graduate of Weatherford College in Weatherford, TX and enrolled in prerequisite courses for BSN at St. Phillip’s College in San Antonio, TX.  Aimee currently resides in Oakdale.

Her work experience includes having been an equipment technician for the Starbucks Coffee Company in San Antonio, TX, San Diego and Bellevue WA.  She also served as an electronics technician for the U.S. Coast Guard in Honolulu.

All of the nurses are certified in basic care life support (BLS) as well as in advanced care life support (ACLS).   

Last year’s crop of Versant interns returned to Doctors Hospital to celebrate the completion of the current internship program with their nursing peers.  They included Maybelline Mabalot, Ariane Blair, Michelle Duckworth, Amanda Harman, Kelly Hoke, Jennifer Mullings and Desiree Romero.

Director of Nursing Pidge Gooch was there to welcome the grads and give them her voice of appreciation and best wishes in their future careers in medicine.
