Doctors Hospital offers free flu shots at Manteca Senior Center on Oct.2

Doctors Hospital will be providing free flu shots at the Manteca Senior Center, 295 Cherry Lane, on Tuesday, Oct. 2, for those ages 50 and above.
This program is fully sponsored by Doctors Hospital, and there is no charge for the shots. Shots will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. The doors will open at 7:30 a.m. with the shots scheduled between 9 and 11:30 a.m.
Manteca Seniors Helping Area Residents and Police will again assist with traffic-control and parking.

• BINGO BASH: The Manteca Senior Advisory Committee is hosting the Second Annual “Manteca Senior Center Bingo Bash” on Saturday, Oct. 13, starting at 6:30 p.m. Doors to the event will open at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are now on sale for $15 each and include a bingo six-pack, a drink and choice of nachos or a hot dog. Extra bingo packs will be on sale the day of the event for $5 each. There will be a 50/50 special bingo game and a raffle. Tickets are now on sale at the Senior Center for adults 18 and older. This is the last bingo event at the Senior Center for 2012.

Trips and tours
The Manteca Senior Center, 295 Cherry Lane, also offers trips and tours that are open to anyone age 18 and up. The trip and tours desk is manned Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can also call (209) 456-8652.

• THE EL DORADO: Tuesday-Wednesday, Oct, 16-17, includes round-trip transportation, one night stay at the El Dorado, performance of “Oh What a Night” in El Dorado Showroom (celebrating the songs of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons), buffer dinner, buffet breakfast, casino stop at The Silver Legacy and Boomtown with $10 slot and 45 food credit. Cost is $162 per person double occupancy.

• GOLDEN GATE FIELDS, BERKELEY: Friday, Oct, 26, includes round-trip transportation, admission to Golden Gate Fields with racing program, hosted lunch in the Turf Club, all admissions and taxes. The cost is $72 per person.

• APPLE HILL
, Tuesday, Oct. 30, Round-trip transportation, hosted chicken lunch at High Hill Ranch with chance for chopping at High Hill Ranch and Boa Orchards. The cost is $50 per person.
