The Manteca Interact Club is planning its Safe Halloween.

This youth service organization is a branch of the Rotary Clubs of Manteca. Each year, they encourage children age 8 and under to wear their costume to trick or treat at the participating businesses in downtown.

Safe Halloween is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“We enjoy taking part in this annual event,” Interact Club President Michael Yoon said at Tuesday’s meeting held at Sierra High.

The local organization consists of over 30 members.

They’ve arranged for Fun and Games to provide a jump house and several kiddie rides for a small price in the parking lot of Manteca Bedquarters at the corner of Yosemite Avenue and Main Street.
