Manteca Ford will host the Drive One 4 UR School event for Manteca High School, East Union High School and Sierra High School this Saturday, Sept. 17.

“With all of the most recent budget cuts, school districts across the country are scrambling to figure out ways to save and raise money for various programs for our schools,” Manteca Ford dealership owner Phil Waterford said. “This program is designed to bridge the gap as the funds can be used at the discretion of each school.”

In May, Manteca Ford had the opportunity to work with East Union High School and raised $4,240 to assist the Associated Student body. “We want this opportunity to be shared with all three high schools in Manteca.”

The Drive One 4 UR schools event will be held at Manteca Ford from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Phil Waterford’s Manteca Ford & Exotic High Line will have a full display of new Ford vehicles for the community to test drive. The dealership will donate up to $8,000 or $20 for every test drive. There will be three tents set up for registration and representation of each high school. Waterford is competitive and wants to see which high school can earn the most money.
