The Main Street Café and friends of Victoria Martin are hosting a drive-thru dinner Tuesday, Dec. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m.  in support of the entire Martin family and Victoria’s five year fight with cancer.

Stacey Raasch and Stacey Haena are spearheading the event for their friend who was the focus on a recent bone marrow drive.  The marrow couldn’t be used because the cancer has spread, Raasch said.

Vickie has been busy at home making handmade Christmas ornaments for all her relatives.  She has been involved in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life effort in recent years.  Friends noted that the battle with cancer has taken an emotional and financial toll on their family.

The couple has two children who attend George McParland Elementary School – Jerry, 11, and Delicia, 10.  School friends held a large garage sale last year for benefit of the family as well as the recent bone marrow drive.

Advance reservations for the $10 Tuesday drive-thru dinners are a must to allow the café to prepare the meals.  To reserve a dinner, call 969-9918 or 610-0704.

Main Street Café is located on North Main Street next to Casino Real just before Northgate Drive.
