District honor bands perform concert Feb. 5 at Lathrop High

Nearly 20 members of the Manteca High School Band have made the cut to be in the Manteca Unified School District’s All-District Honor Band.

They will be taking part, along with other selected instrumentalists from the district, in the Honor Band Concert that will be held Saturday, Feb. 5, at 6 p.m. Hosting the performance this year is Lathrop High School located on West Lathrop Road on the west side of Interstate 5. The performance will take place in the school’s Performing Arts Theater under the baton of Dr. Robert Halseth, a professor at California State University Sacramento where he teaches wind studies.

The high school Honor Band will be the second group to perform the evening of Feb. 5 at Lathrop School. The opening act will feature the district’s select group of junior high band members who will be on stage at 6 p.m. The high school group’s program will follow at approximately 6:45 p.m.

Manteca High Band members who were accepted into the MUSD All-District Honor Band are the following:
