If one valedictorian’s speech summarizes the nature of a promoting class, then those that spoke Wednesday night at the Joseph Widmer ceremony had it down to a science.
Because there were eight of them.
Instead of having a single student speaker, each of the school’s eight promoting valedictorians – Harleen bal, Rea huhaylongson, Elsie Ngugi, Eghosa Ogbeide, Tyler Riggleman, Nikolle Sanchis, William Smith and Noel Viacrusis – stood at the lectern and summarized their time at the school and what it means to be moving on.
Those that promoted will likely be attending Lathrop High School next year.
