RIPON — Mike Fisher will remain Ripon Unified’s board president for another year.

Trustees, at their monthly meeting Monday at the City of Ripon Council Chambers, voted unanimously to re-elect Fisher as their top official.

At the organizational session, Kit Oase, who was named clerk shortly after being elected to his board seat about a year ago, was selected vice president.

Donna Parks, who served as vice president for the past year, was picked as clerk.

According to Fisher, the board secretary is traditionally held by the district superintendent.

Trustees made it official, approving Superintendent Louise (Nan) Johnson to that position.

The board also approved the 2012 meeting calendar and, with it, sent a request to City of Ripon for continued use of the Council Chambers.

RUSD and the City entered into the agreement that began last summer but only on a trial basis.

Trustees enjoyed the comforts and amenities of the state-of-the-art facility that they were granted continued use from the City on the Council Chambers through December.
