If you are thinking of Valentine’s Day and what to give to that special someone close to your heart, think Lathrop High School FFA.

Today and Saturday, the actual day of hearts, FFA adviser Danelle Ariaz are taking orders for flower arrangements.

“I have a group of kids helping me. We do a lot (of arrangements) in class but we will also be doing some orders on Saturday if people want to stop by and have something made. All profit goes directly to the Lathrop FFA program to help pay for student projects,” Ariaz said.

As to what type of flowers and arrangements are being offered, Ariaz explained, “We have roses, tulips, lilies, carnations, and many others we can use depending on what the person would like. We can do flowers either wrapped in different cello with a bow, or we can design something for them in a vase.”

Here’s how to place your orders. Call 559.779.5662 and leave a message. However, the better and more convenient option is to simply send her an email at dariaz@musd.net.

Ariaz and her FFA students will be selling the flowers, along with Valentine balloons, today from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

You can either pick up arrangements already made, or they can customize something for you if that’s your preference.

Orders made via telephone or email can be picked up today in the school’s front office where payment is received. The office staff will give buyers a receipt of their purchase.

On Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., you can make your purchases or pick up orders at the school.

Ariaz said they can do balloon bouquets as well.

If you decide to stop by Lathrop School for your Valentine bouquets or orders, take Spartan Way which is the extension of Lathrop Road west of Interstate 5, to the school campus where there will be signs for people to follow.
