Four instructors of the Manteca Unified School District were recognized at the 24th annual Leadership and Management Conference for Home Economics Careers and Technology Educators.

The June 24-26 event was held at Hyatt Regency in Sacramento.

Honored for their respective programs were Elizabeth Aschenbrenner, Amy Lee, Valerie Flores and Victoria Brunn.

Each of the local educators received Program of Excellence certificate of recognition.

A teacher at Sierra High, Aschenbrenner received recognition for food and nutrition along with fashion and design.

Lee and Flores are also at Sierra. Both were honored for their efforts in consumer and family sciences.

Brunn instructs the Regional Occupational Program’s Fashion Design and Merchandising at the Lindbergh Educational Center. She received recognition in that field.

The professional development activities were designed to fulfill the unique needs of HECT educators in their efforts to implement new career pathways.

MUSD was one of two school districts recognized at the two-day event, according to the district website.
