The first day of school for Ripon Unified is next week.

In preparation for that, Ripon High is having Pow Wow today and Wednesday in the North Gym.

That’s the registration session for all new and returning students. They can have their photos taken for ID cards and school pictures at Pow Wow.

All students are required to take photos – the RHS dress code will be enforced.  All necessary paper work can be printed ahead of time by visiting the RHS home page website at www.riponhigh.net.

Pow Wow for seniors and juniors is today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sophomores and freshmen are scheduled during the same time on Wednesday.

Families with multiple students at RHS can do a one-time registration for all by attending the oldest student’s Pow Wow date.

Class schedules and text books can be picked up at the Pow Wow. Any overdue books must be returned and fees paid – for payment, go to www.riponindianstore.com – in order to receive the new textbooks.

Another important date for all freshmen along with new students is Friday, Aug. 10, with Link Crew hosting the orientation session in the North Gym, from 10 a.m. to noon.

The first day of school for RHS and Ripon Unified kindergarten- through- eighth- grade sites is Tuesday, Aug. 14.
