Ripon Unified swearing in new student board member

Dallas Waters will take the oath of office at tonight’s Ripon Unified school board meeting.

The Ripon High senior is the student school board member for this year, taking the place of school board representative Griffin Bow.

Waters, who was selected to the post via the recent RHS elections, is scheduled to attend the school board meetings throughout the upcoming school year.

His oath of office will kick off the 7 p.m. open session of the RUSD monthly session in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave.

In other agenda items:

uDirector of Student Services Lisa Mazza is scheduled to speak on the California Health Kids Survey.

uDirector of Operations Andy Strickland will give facility updates on the Colony Oaks Elementary School modernization project, the recent completed work at the RHS football stadium, and various maintenance efforts that occurred during the summer.

uTrustees will re-appoint members to the Measure G Citizen’s Oversight Committee.
