RIPON – Spring enrollment is now under way for the California Connections Academy @ Ripon.

This tuition-free virtual charter school is an educational option for kindergarten through 12th-grade students in eight counties, including San Joaquin, Sacramento, and Alameda.

Signups will be for the 2012-13 school year.

Several months ago, the Ripon School board paved the way for California Connections Academy to finally service Northern California by agreeing on the partnership. Included was leasing out a classroom to serve as the eight-county educational hub.

Families interested can learn more about the school’s online program and individualized approach to education by attending a free session at the Residence Inn Stockton, 3240 March Lane, on Thursday, April 12, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

California Academy is a leading, fully accredited provider of high-quality yet highly accountable virtual schooling option.

The information session will cover areas such as how teachers interact with students in virtual environment, personalized learning opportunities such as accelerated learning and gifted programs; college preparation; socialization; and role of parents and learning coach.
